Contractual BSNL Workers Win Retirement Age Extension from 55 to 60
In 2020, Rakesh Saha represented casual contractual employees of BSNL before the Chief General Manager, raising demands for fairer working conditions and security in service.
The representation succeeded. The retirement age for casual contractual employees was increased from 55 years to 60 years.
The policy change benefited hundreds of workers and their families, giving contractual employees far greater certainty in service.
