When the COVID-19 lockdowns began, daily-wage earners, elderly residents, and single-income families in our area lost their livelihoods overnight. Rakesh Saha led a continuous three-month food relief campaign to make sure no family went hungry.Every day for three months, essential rations and fresh food were prepared and distributed to approximately 400–500 individuals. Volunteers cooked, packed, and delivered — sustained entirely by the community's own effort.The campaign was not a one-time gesture — it ran daily for three months, reflecting the belief that relief is meaningful only when it is sustained.
