Why I'm in Public Service: The Baranagar By-election

From student politics to the Baranagar Assembly constituency — why I have spent over two decades serving the public, and what I hope to do next.

I have been in public life for over two decades — from student politics to managing the Baranagar Assembly constituency. People often ask why. The answer is simple: I believe public service is the highest form of work, and it should be done with the same discipline, planning, and honesty that I bring to business.

In April 2019, I founded Go Holidays, and I have spent 13+ years across Hospitality, Leisure, and BFSI. Business taught me how to plan, execute, and deliver. Public service taught me patience — the discipline of listening to people before promising anything.

In 2024, I was inducted into the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Shri Suvendu Adhikari, ahead of the Parliamentary elections and the Baranagar By-election. I believe in development, transparency, and the kind of grassroots work that is measured by results, not slogans.

My work has always been grounded: COVID-19 relief that reached 400–500 people, the successful fight for BSNL workers' retirement age, monthly blood donation drives, and educational support for students. That is the kind of service I will continue to bring — honest, action-oriented, and accountable to the people.
